Spoilers: the garage safe and upstairs box solutions

Enter 1437 in the garage safe and 4755 in the upstairs locked box in Terry's House. The garage combination comes from the living-room paintings, while the upstairs combination joins the reward numbers on matching missing-child posters.

Follow the paintings to open the garage safe

Find the living room containing the TV and piano. Its wall paintings provide the counts for the garage combination, with the egg painting marking where to begin. Follow the paintings clockwise and keep their counts in that order, finishing at the picture of the full-grown chickens.

  1. Enter the living room with the TV and piano to reach the paintings that supply the garage safe's combination.
  2. Inspect the single-egg painting on the left wall to establish the starting point for your count.
  3. Count the objects in the paintings while moving clockwise, ending at the full-grown chickens to complete the combination's sequence.
  4. Return to the garage to reach the safe where you will use the painting sequence.
  5. Enter 1437 into the garage safe to unlock it.
  6. Collect the present from inside the opened safe to finish this puzzle.

Use the poster rewards to open the upstairs box

The upstairs box takes its combination from the rewards on matching missing-child posters. Look for the same child on both posters, using Ms. Mable's sitting mannequin and the room across the hall as your landmarks. Join 47 followed by 55 to make 4755; the reward values are placed together in that order.

  1. Go upstairs to reach the area containing the locked box and its missing-child poster clues.
  2. Inspect the poster beside Ms. Mable's sitting mannequin near the bedroom to identify the child shown in the clue.
  3. Check the room directly across the hall to find the matching poster showing the same child.
  4. Read the cash rewards on the matching posters to obtain the numbers 47 and 55.
  5. Enter 4755 into the upstairs locked box to open it.
  6. Collect the contents of the opened box to complete the locked-box puzzle.

Reach the birthday candles above the oven

The birthday candles are another puzzle in Terry's House, alongside the safe, upstairs box and gramophone. Your target is the high shelf above the kitchen oven, reached by positioning a chair beneath it. If the mannequins blocking the doors make the kitchen look different, start with the cabinets.

  1. Return to the kitchen you explored earlier to begin the search for the birthday candles.
  2. Open the kitchen cabinets one by one until you hear a chair scraping across the floor.
  3. Turn around to locate the chair that has appeared beside the kitchen counter.
  4. Push the chair into the marked spot near the oven, using the ghost chair outline to line it up.
  5. Climb onto the positioned chair to reach the high shelf directly above the oven.
  6. Pick up the birthday candles from the shelf to complete the candle task.

Tune the gramophone until the piano plays clearly

The vinyl record is the prerequisite for solving the gramophone puzzle. Once the record is in place, interact with the gramophone and tune its controls while listening to the playback. A clear piano melody tells you the settings are correctly aligned; distorted sound means you need to keep adjusting.

  1. Place the vinyl record onto the gramophone so you can begin the tuning puzzle.
  2. Interact with the gramophone to open its tuning controls.
  3. Adjust the three knobs while listening to the playback until the distorted audio resolves into a clear piano melody.
